Having grown up in Communist-era Poland, Beate moved with her family to Germany as the wall came down in 1989. After studying Audio-Visual Communication Design at University in Maastricht, Netherlands, she then worked for several years in Germany for some of the biggest digital agencies.
Next came a sabbatical year in San Francisco. After which she worked client-side in Barcelona before making her way to London where she worked at a top London-based recruitment agency for a couple of years. The opportunity then arose to start Citizens International in the spring of 2008 and since then the company has established a sound working relationship with some of the most well-respected names in the design industry throughout Europe. Having also appeared on BBC's Dragon's Den in 2008 she has brought a unique / entrepreneurial perspective to the recruitment industry.
